As of June 1, 2024, The Affordable Connectivity Program’s funding has come to end. Although the funding is out of the current ACP, there are still ways YOU can help fight for more funding in the immediate and the long term future of the program.

  • 23 Million Housholds

were enrolled, and tens of millions more were eligible for this important benefit.

  • Up to 77% of participating homes

may be forced to switch plans or stop using internet service altogether due to the loss of the ACP benefit, according to an FCC survey.

  • A 30% Discount

on internet bills and $100 toward eligible devices has been provided to households by ACP.

Having broadband access is linked to our health, our well being, and our economic security.

This is especially true for the Latino community, Black, Indigenous, and other communities of color, as well as rural and low income households. Having access to the internet allows students to continue to learn, parents the option to pursue remote employment options, and it allows all of us to learn new skills to remain competitive in today’s job market.

In a rare bipartisan consensus, continuing the ACP is backed by a strong majority of voters including 62% of Republicans, 78% of Independents, and 96% of Democrats. 80% of adults 50+ also support funding the program.

There’s still chances to save and re-implement this program:

You can reach out to your representatives, senators, and congressmen to express your support and need for the program. With enough voices showing reliance on the ACP for their help on low-cost internet, your representatives, senators, and congressmen must respect the demand and accommodate your needs.

Until a final solution is reached, HTTP and its partners will continue to fight for this life-changing program and offer resources on low-cost internet options available today.
